P.E.H.N. is a non profit Incorporated Association and members comprise Executive Housekeepers, Assistant Housekeepers, Senior Supervisors, Housekeeping Attendants and Associate Members who are suppliers to the hospitality industry and have a particular affinity with Housekeeping. Our members come from far and wide including Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and of course, Victoria.

Who can join?

Anyone who has been employed or who is currently employed in the hospitality, healthcare or tourism industry as an Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, Supervisor can join.

Associate membership can also be granted to companies or industries involved in supplying products to the cleaning sector.

Student membership can be granted to individuals currently enrolled in a minimum of Certificate III in Accommodation Studies and employed for a minimum of 15 hours per week in the accommodation sector of the hospitality industry. Proof of enrolment must be provided.

We have extended this membership to any staff that are currently employed in the Housekeeping Department. (Proof of employment from the Manager, stating position and employment status must be provided.)

What does it cost?

For Executive Housekeepers, Assistant Housekeepers and Senior Supervisors, the cost of annual membership is $50 and for Associate members the cost is $250 per annum.

Individuals: $50/year (Register Now)

Associate Members (Businesses): $250/year (Register Now)

All members receive a membership certificate.

The committee reserves the right to review membership fees as appropriate.

Events & Networking Opportunities

P.E.H.N. aims to hold approximately 4-6 functions per annum. Some of these functions are sponsored by Associate members who may wish to demonstrate their product range or keep us abreast of new products.

The calendar would consist of a housekeeper’s forum event, to get Housekeepers a chance to discuss current topics with professionals in the field and colleagues.

The Annual AGM a Charity Event and then the very popular and well attended end of the year Christmas Party.

The 2nd half of the financial year is planned for some educational and social activities as well as supplier presentations.

Some of these events are either free, subsidised by the organisation or sponsored by our Suppliers.

Since forming in 1996, P.E.H.N. has also held several one day seminars including topics as diverse as The impact of technology, Updates in recycling and Caring for the Feet, as well as one day courses in “Textiles for the Hospitality industry” ,“Accommodation Hygiene” and “Occupational Health and Safety for the cleaning industry”, all of which have been well attended.


Our member base are from hotels ranging from big to boutique, 3 – 5 star hotels, and all would be happy to exchange business cards, knowledge, tips and visits to their hotels. We support each other.
