The Professional Executive Housekeepers Network Inc.
P.E.H.N. is a non profit Incorporated Association and members comprise Executive Housekeepers, Assistant Housekeepers, Senior Supervisors, Housekeeping Attendants and Associate Members who are suppliers to the hospitality industry and have a particular affinity with Housekeeping. Our members come from far and wide including Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and of course, Victoria.
Anyone who has been employed or who is currently employed in the hospitality, healthcare or tourism industry as an Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, Supervisor can join.
Associate membership can also be granted to companies or industries involved in supplying products for the Executive Housekeeping area.
Student membership can be granted to individuals currently enrolled in a minimum of Certificate III in Accommodation Studies and employed for a minimum of 15 hours per week in the accommodation sector of the hospitality industry. Proof of enrolment must be provided.
We have extended this membership to any staff that are currently employed in the Housekeeping Department. (Proof of employment from the Manager, stating position and employment status must be provided)
P.E.H.N. aims to hold approximately 4-6 functions per annum. Some of these functions are sponsored by Associate members who may wish to demonstrate their product range or keep us abreast of new products.
Since forming in 1996, P.E.H.N. has also held several one day seminars including topics as diverse as The impact of technology, Updates in recycling and Caring for the Feet, as well as one day courses in “Textiles for the Hospitality industry” ,“Accommodation Hygiene” and “Occupational Health and Safety for the cleaning industry”, all of which have been well attended.
Other events are purely social and allow members to relax and network.
There is a magazine “The Executive Housekeeper” which is currently published three times per year and a current membership list which is published and distributed to all financial members once a year after the Annual General Meeting.
Membership badges which promote awareness of P.E.H.N. and discounts to members from some of the Associate members.
An affiliation with The International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) in the U.S.A.

For Executive Housekeepers, Assistant Housekeepers and Senior Supervisors, the cost of annual membership is $65 and for Associate members the cost is $500 for the initial joining fee for the first year and thereafter to $300 per annum.
Student members annual fee is $25 and International membership is $120.
All members receive a membership certificate and badge.
The committee reserves the right to review membership fees as appropriate.
